I've read most of the old iron related posts and heard some people rave about these steam generator irons.
Which one gets your vote please? and are there any that I should avoid at all costs?

TIA

bump please as i really need to get this sorted asap. My iron is now unusable and I don't like the thought of being without one.

Oooooh ours is brilliant. Seriously. Double duvet in about 3 mins. Love it.

Umm, ours is a 'Rowenta Expert'. Had it for 2 years and so far no probs.

Will never iron with an old style iron again.

Make sure you have a large, thickly covered ironing board to go with it.

I was recommended the Simac one from another MNetter; it is fabulous. I wanted something that would iron like a hot knife thru butter - and it does. Expensive but worth it.
