Does anyone have a portable TV with Freeview? Does it actually work?

My dad is trying to figure out what to get DH and as he works nights, we thought a portable handheld TV - we have found a tv/DVD with freeview but as it's on ebay (anyone knows whereelse would do one?) we are unsure how well it actually works, I have never seen one with freeview before. Do they work ok, like a normal TV?

We've got one (DH's incurable gadget obsession). It's OK -- reception variable according to where you are, but if you are in a good reception area then they are fine and you can get a good range of channels.

dd has a freeview box attached to her portable - on a portable ariel. It's not brill but it's watchable. Depends on the signal strength I suppose. Not hand held though, ds1 had one of those and it was rubbish.
