Anyone good with Mobile phones? I need to choose between 2 for dd (LG or Motorolla)

Its an LG Chocolate or a Motorolla W377

They both have the same features and are both pink and have bluetooth (which are the two things she wanted).

However looking at reviews the LG doesnt get great reviews off some people, but then neither does my Nokia and I dont have a problem with it.

Just wondered if anyone had either and could recommend

I am borrowing an LG at the moment it is rubbish the touch screen cuts people off it jumps to all different menus like it has a mind of its own!!

It comes up with low battery warning even if its been on charge but continues to have battery

I would have the motorola to be honest or a sony erricson if they have them in pink

if you droped the chocolate I think it would break fairly easily and any scratches really show up

sorry for being so pessimistic can you tell its been driving me mad!!!

pb this is what a lot of the reviews say I have bought the LG already but saw the motorolla in virgin afterwards and thought it was a good deal for £39.99 plus £3 on it free.
I paid £40 for the LG and had to put £10 talktime which i will lose.

Thanks pb. Anyone else have any views on these phones?

my niece has a LG chocolate and has had the same problems as peanut, even to the extent where the software crashed on her phone and she was unable to use it for about 6 weeks (and they wouldnt give her a replacement) she ended up buying a cheap razr which she actually found better then her chocolate but she was in 12 months contract (which has just ended).

sorry.

every motorola me or DH has had has ended up breaking less than a year after we bought it. everything from the keypad not working to not turning on/off, not charging, the flip mechanism not working.

not had LG so can't vouch for them, but i always end up going back to samsung. they have been the most reliable phone for me!

I am just looking at phones and the Sony Ericcson seems to be a popoular choice with good reviews.

christmosschops30 · 20/12/2007 14:17

Yes if it was for me I would go with Sony Ericsson or Nokia but dd barely manages a week without losing something so it had to be fairly cheap and the sony's are quite pricey.

Cheap, pink and bluetooth were the requirements

nokia 6111

nokia 7373

samsung j600

samsung blush

these are good phones. all pink with bluetooth. what is your budget?

walkinginawinterBundleland · 20/12/2007 16:06

i got a motorolla once ( normally have a nokia) and i would NEVER have one again

Bky · 20/12/2007 16:11

I personally wouldn't get a phone with a touch screen, had one before and was rubbish.

My vote would be for a Samsung.

jellies · 20/12/2007 16:12

Samsung G600 The battery life is fantastic they are now giving you a memory card(!Gb) and a bluetooth earpiece free with it.. Its got reasonable music capabilities.. LG are pretty but not great functionally and the Motorolla charge is rubbish and it broke very easily... God Its official I'm a phone geek!!! Sony Eriksons are good too but a bit boyish (The G600 is also made in PINK)
