Mamas and Papas ZIKO - anyone else find it annoying to use?

I'm a forst time mum and gor a ziko cause lightweight, folds up quite small and suitable from birth. Anyway after using it for 7 week certain things have started to annoy me and dh about it. You can put things underneath it when ds is in it in the fully reclined position so have to get him out then put the seat up etc etc, the zip on the footmuff is really stiff to fasten and the popper on the footmuff is stiff too, the fasteners on the harness bit are also really stiff and regularly nip my finger and there's no window in the hood so have to have it back to see ds. I didn't really anticipate any of these issues when i bought it, on the plus side it's very pretty and easy to steer.
Just wondering if i'm beong too fussy and expecting too much from it or should get something better for now and use it as a stroller when he's a bit older?

Hmm...tricky. I just sold mine because though well made and very pretty, I found it wasn't that easy to push, the chrome was very cold and hard to hold, the plastic even moreso, I didn't like the little mudguards as they were just waiting for leaves to become trapped, etc etc.

A bit of the old 'style over function' going on I think!

Saying that a lot of buggies are much, much worse

i was going to asy that maybe it is just stiff cause its new, but realised you have had it for 7 weeks!
i dont think you can beat maclaren, i have one from my dd's birth and loved it. it did break in the end but had nearly 2 solid years use from it.
why dont you see if you can swap it in the for sale section?

Dalrymps · 20/12/2007 21:31

hmm might do, yeah think it is a bit style over function... mine hasn't got the chrome bits on as i got the sightly cheaper version with foam handles so guess i escaped that bit!
Trouble is spent ages choosing it and really not sure what to swap it for? will have a look at maclaren ones, don't want to end up with something worse, it's not that bad, just a bit annoying
