Does anyone know who sells the Thunderbirds craft for the old Tracy Island?

I bought my son the "old" Tracy Island a while ago and was saving it for a rainy day. I've now given it to him only to discover that I can't find who sells the craft to go with it, as the new Tracy Island comes with the craft included. I've tried Toys R Us and Argos. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Fionn, think they still have them in Woolies, or an actual toyshop might be worth trying. (Yellow Pages time!)

Failing that, you could try charity shops and car boots (but I know I have seen some recently).

I have recently been converted to Ebay and would try there.

The new one with craft works out cheaper doesn't it? But then what would you do with the old one...I bought the old one as it was 1/2 price but the price of the 5 craft (assuming anywhere still sells them)is £25 which is very dear. Poor ds has been asking me all day why I haven't been to the shop yet to buy Thunderbird 2! Might have to try Ebay, thanks.

Aw, Fionn, I bet that makes you feel great...

We have Thunderbird 3 (? red rocket thing?) - if you can't find anything else I'll send you that!

janh - may well have to take you up on that if I can't find them soon - have your children outgrown Thunderbirds?

Oh yes, Fionn, what a relief it is too!

A little story to make you feel better about what's happened to you. DS1 (now 14 - DS2 is 9) had Tracy Island, all the models and some of the figures too (Jeff Tracy - or Jeff Crazy as he thought he was called when about 5! - The Hood, Lady P and sundry brothers) and I sent the lot to the school merry-go-round, when he was 7 or 8 and had grown out of them, because the craze had faded so I thought DS2 would not be interested....

Naturally by the time DS2 was old enough the programmes were on TV again!!! The bastards! So I had to go out and buy a new Tracy Island and get all the models again!!!!! (But I did still have the videos for some reason so that was OK.)

I can't remember what I did with TI no 2, though, or why we still have T3 only.

(Tell you what else is funny - do you have any of the books/annuals? Some of the brothers haven't been born yet! I can't remember the exact dates but they were born between about 1993 and 2008 - something like that. Very futuristic in 1965 (?) of course.)

Think I've seen the vehicles in the Early Learning section of our local huge Sainsbury's.

Managed to get Thunderbird 2 in Tesco today - wheww! Ds still wants the others though. I don't think there's a Sainsbury's near us unfortunately.
Janh - we buy the comics and yes I did notice Gordon being born in 2048 or something!

Another local Tesco had Thunderbirds 1 ans today, hurrah! Now I can almost forgive them for regularly running out of sun-dried tomatoes and fresh herbs!

Do you have an Entertainer toyshop any where near you? Saw the whole range the other day in Milton Keynes. We have probably got them in the car box at home - really must have a really good sort out - got loads of stuff to rehome - Brio, Duplo, cars, garage, Playmobil, farm, fort etc. etc.
Hate to do it though.

Jaybee, don't rehome permanently, either lend out (for return to you in due course) or tuck away in loft or garage - both for younger visitors and for grandchildren (good to be prepared!) They don't take up a lot of space really.

Fionn, 1 and what???? Have you got 3 now or should I be rummaging for it?

We purchased the "new" Tracy Island 1/2 price (under £15) in Boots Nottingham last week, and sadly our 5 yr old ds is besotted with the noisy, plasticy thing!!! Doesn't seem to bother him that the craft are so small but wouldn't have paid full price for it.

If youu contact the manufactures they will sell you a new set, just tell them that you bought it new, and that you lost them.

sb34 And I've only just seen yours! Don't worry, but thanks anyway. A friend was looking for one but found one anyway.
