Stupid unfair O2 and their crappy iPhone tariffs

Have been given an iPhone for xmas, work pressie, was absolutely delighted.

But went on to the O2 website today to look at monthly tariffs and they're soooooo rubbish. £35 a month gives you 200 minutes and 200 texts, compared to 600 mins and 1000 texts for all other phones.

RUBBISH!

Am I being an ungrateful wench for having been bought a lovely present from my bosses at work? Or is this really a massive rip-off?

It is a rip off.

There has been alot of negative press about this.

Can you hold onto it and when O2 have stopped being the exclusive provider you could move to whoever you wanted

Have asked o2 about that, because I was worried it wouldn't work if I failed to activate it within 14 days. They emailed to say:

"If you've taken insurance for your iPhone, this means you can't keep your iPhone in an 'Inactive' state. This is because insurance gets activated on your account within 72 hours if purchased from an O2 store.

"To make sure you can keep your iPhone for a period as long as you want (in this case until you get your choice of tariff), you need to make sure if you have insurance on your iPhone. You'll need to cancel the insurance if your iPhone is insured."

Am trying to work out if the second paragraph has a typo in it or if it genuinely is that confusing.

Can see myself giving in and going for the crappy tariff.
