I know Amazon state that they only refund on unopened packages unless the item is faulty etc but has anyone ever got a refund from them for something that basically failed to live up to its expectations?

Where do I stand on getting a refund for something that is basically rubbish?

i bought an MP3 player from them about 3 years ago that was meant to be compatible with ITunes (my ipod had broken and i couldn't afford a new one ,this was a cheaper option), basically it was crap and I couldn't get it to work, it kept crashing my computer etc, sent it back and got a full refund.

I think they are still covered by Sale of Goods Act so if Faulty, Damaged , Not as described etc you have statutory rights info here. However whether they agree may depend on the issue.

Thanks - have emailed them and received very prompt reply saying that they will refund it if I send it back! Am really pleased as wasn't expecting that!

For anyone else - its that game Verticon I am returning - its pants!
