wooden toy - a box w/ puzzles, clock etc on outside and beady hoops on top

Saw this in my local 1 o'clock club and I would like to get one for Xmas (for my kids). Unfortunately, none of the staff there knew where it had come from, there was no maker's mark anywhere on it and I have no idea what it is called to do an internet seach for it.
The box bit is about 40cm square - on one side there is a xylophone, the next a puzzle with metal balls behind a prespex screen and a magnet on a stick for the child to 'pull' the balls to the right place with, the next was a mummy animal, baby animal matching puzzle and the last side was a clock face whose hands could be turned. On top was one of those curly loops thing with beads on like you can get at Ikea.
It had both ds (aged 14 months) and dd (3) transfixed, both playing side by side with the different games. It was also incedibly easy on the eye - something that you wouldn't mind having out all the time, not like the piles of plastic junk that seem to collect in lethal drifts around my house...
Does anyone know what I am talking about and where I can get one? Please?

I found it - it's called a mini multi activity cube and is sold at hope education. But it's £99.99....... Never mind - we'll just have to go to the clock club to play with it.

Cha, try this company. I went to a party thing and saw something like that for a lot less. I don't have a website addreaa but I'm sure you could google it.
WOODEN TOYS BY DIANE AND DEBBIE LTD
Company reg No: 5029607 They are a German company I think. If you don't have any luck with them on the web, cat me and I'll give the reps number I've got, she might be able to send out a catalogue. HTH

There is one for 34.99 on mailorderexpress.com.here , category "wooden toys and games", then type "wooden activity cube" in search box. Out of stock atm though

Cha, I bought a cheaper version of it from Mothercare last summer. I thing they still do them -it was about £35. I haven't got time to do a link, but you could check their website. I bought it for ds2's first birthday and he LOVES it - plays with it everyday.

LIZS - that's exactly the one! It's very well made - one of the best toys I've bought.

I got one in COSTCO a couple of years ago don't know if they still will have them

pabla · 18/11/2004 14:42

My friend has told me that our local Costco is currently doing these (I am after one for my baby too), £30 I think which is a bit cheaper than the catalogues. Don't know if it is exactly the same though but I will be checking it out soon.
