I have an 06, the back two lie flat, the next three can be folded in half (at the seat) and then moved forward so they are flat with the front seats, the widget in the top of the seats can move each back bit of the seat forward an inch more. I can fit a very very large quad bike in mine ... Just in case you wanted to know that too.

As lojomamma said: you fold the seat part of the middle row upwards, tip the backs forward to meet the seats, and then whack the whole thing forwards into the backs of the front seats; but a) it still takes up quite a lot of space and b) if you're not careful you can catch the far side seatbelt and jam it into the folding mechanism (I did that this summer when trying to get DS2's bike into the back in a hurry and now I will have to pay about £150 for a new seatbelt at some point )

Not flat - I think some of the rival cars do though

Obviously with all the seats flat, its useful, but, you can only then fit two people in the front. So, you would need another car to drive the kids in!!!!
