Dithering a bit. The elc one is out of stock. What about the argos on or toysrus one = anyone have these? Are they okay? Any other not too expensive?

Thanks

What;s the budget?
I think this is amazing for the price - look at all the stuff - plus you get MN discount I think

I was going to suggest the pintoy one but Lapin's beats it hollow

TenLordsaLapin · 08/12/2007 19:33

I love that pintoy stuff. DS is getting the safari park Land Rover for Christmas, and I think some animals (knowing my mother, ALL the animals ])

Thanks, those are great. Maybe a wee bit more than I wanted to spend. But they are lovely. Meant to mention Ds is only 17 months so I want something that will be simple enough for him to use now, but that he will get enjoyment out of for years and years.

Simpler and £20 AND in stock

TenLordsaLapin · 08/12/2007 19:43

£60 eek

DS is getting the John Lewis one from my sisters (but naturally it is out of stock now! )

Wallace · 08/12/2007 20:09

I do love that simple one, but I wonder how long he would use it for.

the £60 is lovely(too expensive!), as is the john lewis (out of stock, why wasn't I more organised!)

I have just ordered this one from Letterbox - I have heard it is very nice and I generally like their stuff - www.letterbox.co.uk/mroi/index.pl?type=view&prodcode=0C7312. Sorry, have not yet received it, is a Christmas present for ds from my parents. It is £50 so I am hoping it will last.

You can get the John Lewis one elsewhere, its by Plan City toys.

We have it and its great but not very hard wearing, DS1 (almost 3) has managed to break the lift and the helicopter less than 6 months after being given it....

Wallace · 10/12/2007 05:44

Thanks, that is good to know. Glad I didn't go for that one!

I went for the toysrus one which was so cheap it doesn't matter if it gets broken so quickly!
