Hiya everyone.
If you've either got a Quinny Buzz or thinking about getting one, please read on. I bought my Buzz for my then 15month old DS and now, only 4-5 months later, I've had a few problems with it, but now I have hopefully ironed all of them out. So please read on if you have any issues with your Buzz and hopefully you'll find the help you needed.
Ok, first of all, I had problems with the harness straps. I needed to get them off the actual seat part of the buggy to attach the cosy-toes. This can be done by pulling the shoulder pads right back and undoing the poppers. They're quite stiff so give them a real good pull.
Second, I've been really annoyed lately at the fact that my very slender 19m/o DS couldn't be strapped into the buggy when he had his winter coat on, let alone the cosy-toes, because the harness straps, at their fullest extent, were no where near long enough. And even when I only fasten the straps over the top of his legs and leave his top half 'dangling out', this too has become damn near impossible, esp when he's kicking up a fuss about being put in his chariot! Alas, after being p**sed off about this for about 3 weeks, trawling the web trying to get hold of a number or website to complain to, I have obtained the number for Durrell, who are the people behind the Quinny's and Maxi Cosi's 0208 236 0707 (opt 4 for Cust Serv), and upon explaining my 'wee' dilemma to them, a very very sweet young lady immediately offered to post me out some extentions for the straps. Problem solved!!! However, it does raise questions, such as, why are the straps just not longer in the first place? Or....why do they not include the extention straps in with the Buzz when you buy it so you have the option to add them later on?!
One other thing, I have found that my cosy-toes slumps down, making it difficult to get DS in and pull it back up at the same time. But I think that this is because I have removed the shoulder straps (initially taken off in an attempt to salvage a few more cm's to get the straps round DS) So hopefully, by attaching them back on, they will hold the cosy-toes up for me when the seat it in its most vertical forward facing position.
I hope this helps!!! I only wish I could have found this kind of information on here when I needed it! Ah well. Hopefully if this has helped, you can go back to enjoying your amazing Buzz, cos lets face it....it is a pretty cool buggy. I love the envious stares I get from other mums and dads, lol. x
