Girly bed for 4.5 yr-old

I need to buy dd1 a new bed - she likes the mid-sleeper in argos with slide and pink/lilac tent thing...just wondering how practical they are for reading stories etc - can't see me climbing up there! Any advice? Or other girly bed recommendations?
