Family car

Can anyone recommend a good family car to me? I will be buying second hand, budget of only £6k.

I'm a single mum to 3 kids, ages 10, 7 and 3. The older two play various sports so I need to be able to fit sports equipment in the boot but don't need a buggy nowadays. We don't go away often but I would like to be able to comfortably fit luggage in when we do. I was thinking of something like a cmax or focus. Does anyone have any recommendations or anything to avoid?

The Focus is a good shout, or perhaps a Civic. Take a look at the WhatCar used reliability reports to get an idea of what’s good and what’s not.

I've got Ford C max. Very practical body shape as it's quite square and boxy which gives you more space inside
