Beko appliances ... any comments please?

Our Bosch f/freezer has given up the ghost after 13 yrs faithful service. It's replacement will most likely live in a garage after the first 18 mths or so (we'll be moving) so I have been recommended a Beko f/freezer as a replacement (don't want to spend £££ on another Bosch or similar).

Has anyone got Beko appliances, esp fridges/freezers, and if so, what are they like. Am unable to get to the shop to see it so am going to have to just make my mind up one way or another.

I have a new Beko fridge/freezer, which I am very happy with. Only 3 months old, so I can't really attest to reliability. I think the instructions said it was unsuitable for use in an unheated area (i.e. garage), which may just be them covering themselves, and I only saw the instructions once I'd bought it, so that might be something to bear in mind. HTH

Thanks Purpleturtle ... yes, the man from the shop said that you shouldn't really put them in the garage but Beko will run at an ambient temp of 5 degrees or something so is better for it than some of the other makes.

Which model do you have? Is there lots of room - esp in the freezer? Thanks!

We bought a Daewoo fridge/freezer for the house we rent out. Had it for 2.5yrs and it's fine Pretty cheap from Currys, and just as reliable as the (expensive) Liebherr one we also have

Thanks all ... Beko now delivered. Smaller than the Bosch and not as solid but it seems absolutely fine

Sorry millie - my lift arrived just as I was about to reply to your post last night. Hope you're happy with your new fridge. You've certainly got it quickly. We had to wait a few days for ours.
