KAISER FOOTMUFF owners please help.................

I have just opened my new Kaiser Iglu Thermo Fleece XL (pause for breath) and have got the buggys shoulder straps and lap staps through fine.
What is the square at the back for-is it just to tie to the buggy?
What is the velco for on the back just below where the shoulder straps go through?It is the rough part of velco and there isnt any soft part-anywhere.
I have asked the so called help line but they dont know-great help.

I think the square bit is where you tie it to your buggy - that is what I do with mine anyway.

I don't have the velcro bits on mine but are they just there to prevent the footmuff slipping down perhaps?

Thanks washersaurus, i have tied it to my buggy but still dont know what the velcro is for.It doesnt grip to my buggy at all-glad it doesnt really im sure it would make it all fluffy when i take it off.
