I think a loss adjustor is trying to see us off. Basically a railings company damaged a door and window we have. I've had a quote for the repair to the door (800 odd quid- it was Everset and less than a year old so I told them it would have to be replaced by Everest). They've upped their offer once and are now offering us just over 400 pounds for the bathroom double glazed window. It's not huge, but average sized. The one currently in place is argon filled (which I gather is slightly more expensive). Is this reasonable? The company caused loads of other damage that we haven't claimed for (although we have so far reserved our right to do so- things like other old windows that we plan to replace anyway, guttering, kids picnic table). For that reason I really don't want to get ripped off on the window. (But can't be arsed with a salesman being here for hours).
Is there anywhere I can get a quote without having to see someone/get sent loads of dodgy irritating catalogues.
