I'm convinced i saw a post on here for someone looking for a buggy board and got a reply saying that you can hire them from surestart for 6 months at a time. I desperately need one but am desperately skint!!! Does anyone know how/where to do this?

Different area Sure Starts operate different schemes. The ones nearby to me operate a safety scheme (reduced price equipment)and a toy library but others may offer this.

You have to live in the right postcode area. Your HV would probably know if you qualify for any schemes.

surestart can take a certain % out of area, so your HV could refer you anyway. alternatively if you ring up the nearest surestart, and see how strict they are about the toy library.

What pushchair do you have as I have a spare Emmaljunga buggy board which is off to the Cancer Research shop this week.

I've got a maclaren standard foldaway buggy (if that makes sense??!!) Have also got a big 3 wheel urban detour but would need it really for the maclaren so i can take both kids shopping and into town

I doubt then if my spare board will fit. What a shame.

Which buggy does yours fit to?

It is supposed to fit an Emmaljunga pushchair which I have but it doesn't fit the partiucular model I have. Annoyingly.
