NEED NEW WINDOWS ANY RECOMENDATIONS?(not sure if this right place)

We need new windows but they seem very expensive. Any one had theirs done reasonably from a good company? I am in West Sussex..TIA

Do not go for Weatherseal. They have very good windows and seem to be reasonably priced BUT their aftersales services is terrible. We've been having problems for coming up 4 years.

i don't think any upvc lasts well (and imo is ugly). get wooden ones made for you instead, the price really isn't much different if you find a joiner.

thanks fishie..we have wooden now but neighbours have new upvc and I think thhey are done sympatheticly(sp) ..I thought upvc was supposed to last longer?

god no, wood can be repaired, upvc can't be fixed. everyone i know with plastic windows has problems with condensation and/or glass going misty. just think of all the original wooden windows in victorian and older houses still going strong. perhaps yours could be renovated rather than replaced?

Don't have anything to do with Zenith Staybrite. Their hard sell is unbelievable. I had them in to give a quote for a conservatory and had to virtually throw them out after almost three hours. I started a thread on here about it and other people had similar (and worse) horror stories about them.

oh god that sounds bad ..that is really what I am worried about as we had similar experience with a conservatory company...hate hard sell!!!
