Stupid questions about buying a mobile phone from someone who knows nothing about them

I need a pay as you go mobile phone asap. A dirt cheap one that is only used once in a blue moon. I don't want to take photos, text people, download anything etc. I just like having it in case I break down when driving (or go into labour).

I have had the present one for years but ds killed it in a tantrum-fueled rage.

Where do I go to buy one? Does anyone have any recommendations. Do I have to venture into one of those scary phone shops and talk to a spotty youth? I won't know what they're talking about

u can get one in tesco for about 15 quid

zippitippitoes · 29/11/2007 14:54

like this 10 quid of free air time

Anywhere else? I don't live near a Tesco (must be one the few people who don't).

If I can buy it somewhere like that, without having to do phone-based chat, so much the better.

Aha, online could work, although ideally would like to get it tomorrow.
