I have a phil and teds double..love it and both like seating in either front or back seat. Back seat will still fit my rather tall 4yr old in and front seat is really big.

Astrophe · 29/11/2007 11:40

I recommend the one i am selling here
...truly, it is fab!

pinkrangernowwobbles · 29/11/2007 12:40

Thanks Astrophe but dont think the eldest would ever fit in the seat!
I think i would like a tandem as i may then be able to go round the shops when nessacery but heard they are hard to push/lift etc - The pram is mainly walking doing school run

I've been looking at these although don't need it yet - just planning ahead! I like the Red Castle Double Jogg but can't seem to find a physical shop that stocks it, just several online companies and I want to play with it before parting with the cash! Or does anyone know of another double which can be used with a carrycot?

Olihan · 29/11/2007 22:20

Yorky, the FirstWheels City Twin can have a carrycot attached to it. It's not cheap (about £350) and it's not overly small or light but it's lovely and comfy for both dcs.

I've got an Out N About Nipper Double and I love it.

My nearly 4 year old fits in it comfortably and I can push it one handed, even with both children in.

I did have a tandem (Cosatto Duet Lite) but found it increasingly hard to push and steer.

bigmouthstrikesagain · 29/11/2007 22:35

I had a 20m gap between my children so used a tandem double buggy - Jane Powertwin. It was light and easy too push. My ds is tall and heavy (as is dd). So it lasted a year but after that I went on to using a bugy board with my single pushchair.

I can recommend the jane for it's manoeuvrability, it can get round the shops etc. it is not easy to use public transport (or go up steps alone), but I imagine no double is really able to manage those things anyway. Tandems are good when you have a small baby and an older child as the baby is at the back and less likely to be disturbed while sleeping etc. (though as she got older my dd did enjoy pulling ds's hair if he was asleep. My two used to both nap at the same time sometimes for a couple of hours in the double without any difficulty.

I did have to remove the hood from the front seat after ds was 2 or so as he was tall but this did not proe a problem (as during summer months and a clip on parasol provided shade.

sorry that was a bit long winded

shanks313 · 29/11/2007 22:45

Do you think the nipper would fit into the boot of a Corsa?
Is there any doubles that would as we have tried a few with no luck

Sidge · 30/11/2007 09:43

It might do as it's not a lot wider than a single, but it is quite bulky as it folds flat. Mind you if you take the front wheel off (which is really easy to do, takes seconds) then it might do. If you are near me you can come and try it for size!

shanks313 · 30/11/2007 11:26

Where are you Sidge?

shoshaliteupthetree · 30/11/2007 11:31

A Marco sky as a CM have had various, and by far the best.

Its the same width, and length as a single, but taller and folds umbrella.

The back fold flat for baby.

brilliant buggy.

shanks - I'm on the South Coast, near Portsmouth.
