Smallest wellies sizes?
Katherine · 08/11/2004 14:38
My DD2 is tiny - she is 14 months but wearing 6-12 month clothes and she's only just growing into them. She started walking about a month ago - shoes were not a problem really. Some gorgeous size 1 kickers off ebay. But now I feel she is ready to venture outside. It is her RIGHT! to stamp in the puddles at this time of year (allbeit shallow ones! ) :O - but the smallest wellies I can find are size 3 and they still twist on her feet. Anyone know where I can get smaller ones or do I need to send her out in 10 pairs of socks!
Thanks

katzguk · 08/11/2004 14:42
clarks might be worth a try we got our small footed dd some ankle boots which we good for puddle stamping
clary · 08/11/2004 14:43
size 4 were the smallest i found (admittedly in June, not the best time to look).
Where have you trie Asda are best for wellies, ie bargain prices, but not sure about sizes.
Katherine · 08/11/2004 15:11
Hmmm nearest asda is 45 minutes away. Clarks start at size 4. Woolies down to size 3. I wondered about mothercare but we are miles from one here. Might have to wait till a daytrip out and then find and asda.
Mmm Day Trip to Asda!

might be worth a ring before planning your trip out!! pretty sure i saw really cute diddy wellies size 2.
Just a thought have you looked in the dolls section of shops? you might just find some big enough, or somewhere like the bear factory where you can dress a bear.
you could put a plea on mumsnet on the wanted pages someone else might already have some

Funny you should say that - my old paddington bear wellies have been worn by both my other kids - but they are size 5 - even my bear has bigger feet than my daughter...
Geordie · 08/11/2004 21:17
hi might have a pair of size one or two in blue...never worn as they were a gift..my lo is huge- they are not gonna fit him by the time he is walking....I will send them if you want them....not bothered about any money...maybe just give a small donation to a charity???
Let me know...CAT me if u like

Muddy Puddles don't have little wellies but they have "thermal booties" which are 100% waterproof and suitable for 4-18 months. They may be sufficient for jumping inpuddles but not for walking. They also sell thick wellie socks!

I got 3's from Mothercare about 5 years ago. Otherwise you could try a shop selling European brands such as Aigle, Elefanten and Naturino as they usually start at around an 18.
