Advice on m.o.t please

I'm about to buy a renault captur.
Its a 66 plate so I'm a bit confused about checking history as I've always had new cars (don't want finance anymore)
I checked the cars mot and the recent advisers were by the garage whos selling it (arnald clarke) and the advisers are to do with tyres. my question is, would they have changed the tyres? Also looking down the m.o.t history there's been minor advisers in the past which haven't came up on the m.o.t the year after, does that mean they have been fixed? Thanks in advance :)

Arnold Clark are known for being appalling so be careful there! Only way to find out about the tyres is to ask them/and or look at them when you view the car. Advisories will quite often disappear from one year to the next without remediation, such is the nature of the beast when dealing with the opinion of two different testers.

@shade17 thank you! i phoned them and he said theyre fine as theyre more than double the recommended size Hmm may just take it to my garage for a check up when i have it to make sure!

Something doesn’t quite add up there, legal limit is 1.6mm, more than double that gives >3.2mm. Hard to see how an advisory was made on that.
