Dyson just gone bang, need new vac - which one?

Would like a Miele but really I want a bagless one. We have half wood floors, half carpets - what do people recommend? DH says another Dyson but he isn't usually the one that lugs it up & down the stairs !

Snap! Our Dyson seems to have finally given up. Also wanting a new bagless one. Also got fed up with the weight of the Dyson, esp since moving to a three storey house. Will read with interest....

May go for a reconditioned one....rather than brand new

we've got a henry, great at getting dog hairs and can be used with or without a bag, the hose almost reaches all the way up the stairs too. Although i do have to say it's messy to empty if you don't use a bag, the bags for it are quite big so don't need changing that often. dysons are good but really heavy! I had one before but also got sick of lugging it around

i have sainsbury's cheapest bagless and it does better job than my dyson did and its light weight and super super cheap

thought sebo was another MN acronym - until I Googled
