It was DS's 4th birthday a few days ago and we got him

this .

It has been played with a lot since Thursday and as we bought it from one of the Entertainer shops, I was very happy about the price .

Just thought others might be interested.

ds has one - bought full price several years ago

bagpuss · 26/11/2007 19:56

We have one also, bought full price a few year back (by the IL's though ). Still gets played with all the time, it is a fab toy I agree. When ds1 was given it, FIL (who works in the housing industry) joked that it was so much fun to play with that he wanted one for his board meetings to liven them up a bit .

I'm very taken by the little onsite toilet

IdrisTheDragon · 26/11/2007 20:30

There are two toilets - one portaloo and one in the office bit.

DS is greatly enjoying using the crane to lift the portaloo up .

Actually that is more of a bargain than I first thought. We had to buy the site office separately.

Kathy, our workmen are very well rested and seem to use the toilet often (must be all that tea they drink ).

God, I love Playmobil.

bodiddly · 26/11/2007 20:39

it looks great, do you think this is suitable for a nearly 3 year old?

Kathyis6incheshigh · 26/11/2007 20:41

LOL Bagpuss!

Do you think I should buy it for my 2 year old dd, so I'll have it ready for when she needs it?

bagpuss · 26/11/2007 20:44

Well, ds2 is 2.5 and sneakily plays with it behind ds1's back so I would say yes, Kathy it is a necessity .

IdrisTheDragon · 26/11/2007 20:57

DD is 2.2 and has been enjoying it as well .

DS has even been letting her play with it, although he has been watching her carefully with the crane operation .

I want to get ds (almost 3yrs)started on playmobile this year . He loves happyland atm but I think he's ready to move on to something a bit more 'grown up'. I have a 4 1/2 yr old dd too. Can anyone suggest a starter 'set' - I have my eye on the farm at the moment...

bagpuss · 26/11/2007 21:05

Anything with wheels. We have the plane and also some fire stuff which ds2 also likes. DD (5) has the camper van which is lovely and also a beach scene.

perpetualworrier · 26/11/2007 21:46

Oh I've bought this for DS1 , who's six is he too old?

DS2 is 4, so I could give it to him, but DS1 is generally more into detail & DS2 already has a very long list, but DS1 hasn't asked for much. They'll share it anyway. Glad it's a success.
