Daft charity shop question

I have not been in many physical shops during covid but I from those I have been in it seems contactless is the preferred way of paying. Do people know if that is likely to be the case with charity shops or would cash be better?

I have some annual leave coming up and want to visit a town with quite a few charity shops and don't know if I should withdraw cash before I go as I would have before or if using my card is the thing now.

I think most charity shops accept card payments...

Most of charity shops round me have been taking card payments for years. All the big name ones do, only the local church one doesn’t.

Most take cards, and have done for ages.
They will pay a small transaction fee - but speaking as a charity FD, its nothing compared to the cost of handling cash and risk of theft.

Thank you all. 😊
