Amazon's refund/exchange policy

I bought an air conditioning unit in March. Didn't attempt to use it until a week ago and it doesn't work!! It acts like a fan rather than an air conditioner (it is definitely and air conditioning unit and is on the right settings). Complained to Amazon who say it's too late to return it, and told me to get in touch with the manufacturer, manufacturer is clearly foreign and just keeps sending me nonsensical Ils asking me to send videos of this that, and the other. Now they want me to take it apart (being careful not to chop my hand off on the fan) and try something else. It cost £250 (now selling for £400) and it is a useless hump of plastic and I just want an exchange or a refund. Surely Amazon's policy is not online with regulations for faulty products?

I had this issue with a dash cam. Bought it in Feb, worked ok, suddenly stopped working a few weeks back but as its out of the 30 day return period there's nothing they can do about it.

Shame you cant buy another then return the dodgy one but at £400 its madness :(

Too many retailers try to fob off customers - this is one of my pet hates. Try here for advice after the 30 day period. www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/what-do-i-do-if-i-have-a-faulty-product-aTTEK2g0YuEy#how-long-do-i-have-to-return-a-faulty-product

Did you buy from Amazon or from the seller?

NotImpossible · 20/06/2021 09:44

Sorry, I meant manufacturer, not seller!

Did you buy from Amazon or from the seller?
It was fulfilled by a on. I rang back again after they ignored my email and managed to get it returned and refunded after pointing out their statutory responsibilities
