Emma mattress

Hi,

Has anyone bought one of these? Specifically the superking size?
We got a Simba mattress and we’ve only had it a couple of months and there are now dips and lumps in it which is ridiculous considering how new it is. The problem is that because it’s a superking there is a big gap in the middle where neither my husband or I lay. So a big hill like lump appears. Just wondering if this is a problem with he mattress or if we’re going to have the same problem with any mattress we buy because the middle part of the bed isn’t being laid on as much.

Thanks in advance

Exactly the same thing will happen with the Emma mattress OP, I am going back to spring thr first chance I get. The uphill struggle is real, even in a king haha

@Namechangedlady haha it’s a serious struggle lol!

Oh international @Sometimesfraught82 I’ve not heard of those. They seem similar to Simba and Emma at first glance, what is it you love about them?

I was going to post about this. The Emma mattress is meant to be amazing with this 200 night sleep guarantee. Was it easy to send back?

It was a pain in the arse!
NCTDN · 22/06/2021 13:25

Really? Why?

We have a double sized Emma mattress. We bought it about four months ago.

No problems so far, it is great.

morecheeseplease · 11/07/2021 14:10

We really didn’t get on with the Emma (had a super king size) but the complete and utter nightmare that was trying to return it was unbelievable. They were hideously incompetent. Do NOT get one!

IamChipmunk · 11/07/2021 17:53

I agree the Emma customer service is terrible. We have a king size mattress and its got more of a lump in the middle, its still very comfy though.
The first one we got was faulty (didnt fluff up anywhere near the correct size) and trying to sort it was ridiculous, despite it being obviously faulty and us never sleeping on it they argued about taking it back and then when they finally agreed they tried to say if we got a 'new one', (or just a not faulty one) then we couldn't have the 200 night guarantee...
Eventually after much going back and forth they eventually relented but I wouldn't buy from them again.

We had the king rather than the super king, we didn’t notice any dips but we didn’t keep it long as it was bloody uncomfortable and so hot!
Also sending another brand memory foam mattress back as it’s too hot and is has dipped. Think it’s nectar?

SummaLuvin · 12/07/2021 20:49

Interesting the comments on customer service being poor, I found the opposite. We had the standard emma mattress for just over 100 days, and found it wasn’t for us (too firm and way too hot), so I requested a return. They did suggest us testing it with a free mattress topper to make it softer and see how we got on with that - we refused as we thought this would do nothing about heat which was a bigger problem. After that they arranged pickup at a time convenient to us and refunded no questions asked. This was in February.

PepeSilviaDoesNotExist · 15/07/2021 08:07

We found Emma very easy to deal with when our mattress dipped. We had a new one in a few days. They did take a ridiculous amount of time to pick up the old one thought which wasn’t ideal.

BUT our mattress dipped. The new one seems much better but we’re going to put it on the spare bed and go for a different one for us.

CoffeeNeeded2019 · 15/07/2021 23:04

We tried the Emma , the Simba and the Eve
It turns out that we don’t like those style of mattresses abd have gone back to sprung
But the Emma was by far the worst from our perspective; really uncomfortable and took ages to be collected when we returned it

We've got a Simba superking and it also has the lump in the middle, I find it the most comfortable place to lie and always move over when dh gets up for work.

I'd presumed it was because the bed base is a frame so there is a support bar along the middle, I've wondered if a solid divan base would be better.

Regarding the Emma mattress my daughter has the single version, I find it more comfortable but much hotter
