DS1 just got this one from Sainsburys for the same price (but it's supposed to be £120 )

He is v pleased with it anyway.

oliveoil · 20/11/2007 11:07

make sure the screen size is big

I think your link says it is 2" which is rubbish (iirc)

our screen size is crap and dh is always moaning on about it (hence hints for new one)

WendyWeber · 20/11/2007 11:07

She'll need to get some extra rechargeable batts and a memory card too, they only come with 2 batts and 16mb.

hmmm, I would get one with rechargable tbh

ours EATS batteries and usually conks out at special moments, ie birthday candles being blown out etc

will ask dh which one he is after (inlaws have it)

Fuji overnight charger with 4 batts - capacity not specified £12.22 (odd price!) You can get it with a Fuji 1GB memory card for £19.86.

Uniross quick charger with 4x2500nimh batts £17.99

I bought my mother a digtal camera two christmases ago.

I have never ONCE seen her use it, not to take pictures of me and my highly photogenic family, not for my sisters wedding, NOTHING.

So I eventually asked her why she doesnt use it when she'd been whingeing about wanting one.

"Because the charger is lost"
How do you lose a charger?
"TBH I think [my little sister] chucked it in the bin"
Why on earth would she do that?
"Dont know. She denies it, as she would"
I see . You can just use normal batteries instead then.

"GOD NO. that would cost a fortune - such a waste of money"

[in my head, obviously] I think you'll find, cowbag, that a 'waste of money' would be the 300 quid I spent on the sodding thing

So, in conclusion buy your mum some chocolates instead.

CodDickinson · 20/11/2007 15:01

lol
i think my mum is liek that
