sheepskin cosytoes - good idea or too hot?

I am looking at the greenbaby Kaiser cosytoes for db due December and it looks really soft and snuggly. I know lambskins are supposed to be good in all weathers as natural etc, but a sleeping bag style seems a little excessive. Anyone used one? Was it sweaty???!

Do you mean the one at the top of the listing "Stroller bag" ? If so it is the one we have.

dd loved it and has been really cosy, never sweaty as far as I recall, even using the back part in summer. However we live in Switzerland and over the 3 winters she has used it, it has been very cold at times. It is breathable though so your db shouldn't overheat and you can zip the top off if you are going around a shopping mall for example.

It weighs a ton though so your lightweight stroller is no longer lightweight and is pretty bulky to fold in with a buggy (we used it on our Quinny 3 wheeler) ! do make sure it will fit on your stroller first. Also bear in mind that it is not easily washable.

I don't know the one you're refering to, but as long as the front can zip off I would think that it's a good idea. We bought a sheepskin liner for dd (also a December baby) and have used it constantly for two years since, even in the hottest weather. I would definitely get a washable one - there are some that are machine-washable, but hand-wash is fine because you don't have to do it often - because babies leak!

yes that's the one lizs!
Never thought about the weight issue...perhaps just a sheepskin liner would be best...Brighton has warmer winters than switzerland!!!Looks gorgoeus tho'
thanks for the tips
