Prescription sunglasses

I have needed to wear glasses for reading and computer work since last year with one eye being particularly affected. Now the weather is brighter I'm looking at prescription sunglasses and wondered how this works! Do you wear them whenever you're outside or only when reading in the sun which means I'd need a regular pair of sunglasses also...

Would transition lenses work for you? That’s what I have

I need glasses all the time so I have prescription sunglasses and will wear them outside whenever the sun is strong enough. I do carry the regular glasses around as well as sometimes I need to swap them over - eg going into a gloomy shop.

If you only wear glasses for reading, then you will only need your prescription sunglasses for reading outside. It doesn't particularly seem worth it for that.
