Hybrid Mercedes GLA - does it really save petrol

I have put a deposit down on a Hybrid Mercedes GLA. I'd rather do a PCP on a full electric but they are too expensive and I want the safety feature of Mercedes.

But is it a hybrid lite like BMWs, or does it really go 40 miles without fuel in most conditions?

First of all, congratulations on your new car! The GLA looks fantastic.

WLTP ranges are much more realistic than the old NEDC but still tend to be about 10% off on average. The WLTP range of the GLA 250 e is 37 miles so you're probably looking at closer to 33. It's worth mentioning that this is still totally dependent on ambient temperature, driving style, equipment usage etc.

It's worth taking a look at the EQA if you're looking at sticking with Mercedes and going full on electric. I work with a vehicle sourcing company and we're seeing deals around the £420PM mark on personal lease at the minute for an EQA 250 140kW AMG Line with £5,200 down payment.
