A good straightener?

Can you recommend a GOOD straightener for short hair? Something that straightens from the base. Thanks

I have Babyliss pro 230. Gets better reviews than Ghd and I saw them on offer somewhere for £30 recently.

Don't know about going from base for short hair though.
