Which cup for a 10 month old?

My DD has been drinking water from a tommy tippee first cup since about 6 months and can drink fine from it but the lid has a tendency to leak and come off if she drops it (I have more than one so it's the design not just a faulty one I think!). I want to get her another cup/beaker but not sure which one...I'm sure my HV told me that the anti-spill valves weren't very good for teeth and speech development. Anyone else heard this? Any recommendations?

my ds uses the large avent magic cup (with the valve but you can use it without it if you want) and a cow patterned cup for his milk (again you can use it with or without the valve - I use it with the valve as milk is messy!!)

I got the cow cup in Morrisons but other supermarkets and Boots sell it too.

Never heard that about the anti-spill valves and speech development, but wouldn't worry about it if I were you. All mine have loved the avent magic cups, my 6 mo old has had one from 3 mo and loves it. my older two loved theirs, and certainly had no problems with teeth or speech !
