We have virgin cable. We pay £35 per month for broadband, TV package (v.sim to Sky) & phone (free landline calls at all times). This includes landline rental - we don't pay anything else to anybody.

Fab deal - we previously paid £28 per month to Sky, £19 to NTL and £11 to BT plus calls!

Good customer service. Just depends if you can get cable.

NOT TALK TALK...their customer service is like dealing with rats in a labyrinth....but if you can cope with that and they still have the free broadband deal it is not so bad....

A guy who worked for them and now works for VIRGIN )similar package... says they are the worst for customer support, but that Virgin is much better...he was a Virgin salesman though .

Thanks tp both of you, will research Virgin!

talktalk is very cheap, and is fine when everything goes right but RUBBISH when it goes wrong. More than rubbish actually. Putrifying decomposing silage describes it better.

One thing to consider is whether you plan to move during the contract period. You can end up paying through the nose if you move and are on a non-BT line-rental deal (like talktalk and, I think, Virgin). From what I've heard it essentially involves you disconnecting from your b-band company (and paying a fee for breaking your contract) connecting to BT in the new property (and paying a connection fee) disconnecting from BT (and paying a fee for breaking their contract) and reconnecting to your original company (and paying a connection fee).

Thanks for that, we are actually going to put our house on the market in the Spring.

talktalk is utter shite

we have had so many occasions of no phone or internet for days.

we're going to change .

if you have sky tv already then they offer bb and phone for free, evening and weekend calls. You only have to pay bt line rental at 11 quid. Their bb isnt fantastic but i dont think many are, and when its free its not such a ball ache!
