Just had my first delivery from tesco online. BRILLIANT!! Got everything i wanted... ordered it late last night and there were plenty of delivery slots to choose from. Delivery only costs 3.99 midweek - bargain! On top of that, i came across a £10 off code on this site for online orders... a discount i wouldnt have got if i had gone to tesco myself! Fantastic! Why would i ever struggle around a supermarket again with a baby /toddler etc?

Should have done this yonks ago!! Why did no one tell me how gr8 it was?

So, have i converted anyone?

Tesco arrived today, and tried to substitue 2 leeks with a chicken and pesto veg thing. And they charged me for loo paper but didn't send it.

Lou, I once had 2 packets of "luxury nut assortment" as a substitute for leeks. The odd thing was that the leeks were in with the shopping, the nuts weren't!

didn't know about the code! Where do I find it?

have used Tesco online heaps especially when I was highly pregnant and when I couldn't drive after C-section. I usually select 'no substitutes' for everything just to be on the safe side.

Oh and filed a complaint once as a loaf of bread I had ordered was moldy when I openend it 3 days after receipt and within it's 'best before' date, and I got the money refunded!

Might go back to doing it online as atm when I go with dd she always manages to get a present out of me for good behaviour. It's great that bribery works, but it's getting a tad expensive

nailpolish · 02/11/2004 15:34

lol at nut assortment

Ange8 · 02/11/2004 21:22

in my delivery last week, tesco substituted mushy peas for the chick peas I had ordered! (they refunded me - and I gave the mushy peas away)

babster · 02/11/2004 21:33

I love Tesco online and used them last week to spare me going round with both dds. Got 20 eggs I hadn't ordered!

SoupDragon · 02/11/2004 21:34

I once had half my order missing...

vict17 · 02/11/2004 21:36

ja9 do you work for tesco online

lou33 · 02/11/2004 21:36

I ahve mentioned before the fact they substituted nictotine gum with a bag of crisps. Low fat ones too.

libb · 02/11/2004 21:42

My tesco rarely get it right and they have a glorious collection of arsy e-mails from me to prove it

ja9 · 02/11/2004 22:25

I have used them three times, each time they have taken a 2 for 1 offer - sent me one said the other is out of stock and charged me for 1. How annoying is that. When I rang up the first time they reimbursed me for the item, however I couldn;t be bothered the other couple of times so let them get with it.

Unfortunately Sainsburys truly awful and Ocado, lovely delivery men, reliable, great food but more expensive. Think I will return to them if Tesco p* me off again

I have been using tescos religiously for 6 months now. On the whole things are fine, had quite a few deliveries with extras in it! So can't really complain when i have had the odd thing missing. They always reimburse for missing/damaged/crap items and seem to give me more back than I paid. It does make my life so so much easier, I just can't shope with ds.
When we first used it after moving south, my dd then aged 4, said how kind people in south were because they kept bringing us food, and it was all the things we liked!

kitkat2 · 03/11/2004 00:19

sainsburys online have never got it right, 2 for one offers never come etc. the worst thing is they send you money off vouchers so you get sucked in to using them over and over. although I must admit I did get some 2 for one offers once and got 4 of everything so I live in hope of that happening again (probably a ploy)
