Snowsuit for (almost) 2 yr old?
skiingmummy · 02/11/2004 13:58
Hi there, just wondered if anyone knows where I can get a snowsuit/all in one for a very active almost 2 year old? The all in ones I've seen in the shops only seem to go up to 18 months with some going to 2 yrs but DS is quite tall for his age so would def need age 2-3 or 3-4.
Does anyone make all in ones for toddlers or am I trying to find the impossible?!!
Ta muchly!
JuniperDewdrop · 02/11/2004 14:00
I'll have a look in my loft as I found some there the other day. Can't remember how big but DS1 was very tall at that age and I know he wore them.
Angeliz · 02/11/2004 14:01
Last year there were some GORGEOUS ones in H+M.
Dungaree type thick snowsuits for over normal clothes.

Check out H&M - loads of good snowsuit/activity clothes. Sizing tends to be large - my dd is nearly 4 but fits age 2-3 well & she's tall!

do you have a tchibo shop near you? they do good ones and good prices too....
skiingmummy · 02/11/2004 14:03
Not bothered whether its new or 2ndhand actually!
I have looked on Ebay but they're all small sizes...which led me to believe that maybe I'm looking for something that doesn't exist! You've at least given me hope that theres some somewhere!
skiingmummy · 02/11/2004 14:05
Never heard of tchibo?
Have looked in H&M (in Liverpool) but no joy.
Will check out link thanks WWB.
JuniperDewdrop · 02/11/2004 14:05
I'll have a looky this saffa then as you can't have too many
cardigan · 02/11/2004 14:06
Loads in our H&M - perhaps they're getting them in. Good prices.

Just got a lovely all-in-one ski type snowsuit for DS2 in ASDA, he is big for his age (almost 2 1/2) and age 2-3 does him fine, it was £18. Also got trousers for DS1 in a similar style and they had lovely ski jackets too.
WigWamBam · 02/11/2004 14:18
Tchibo have some ski-pants and jackets to fit bigger sizes.

The Bushbaby Hot Tot is excellent and comes in toddler sizes. It's pricy at £40 but there's 10% of at LittleTrekkers if you go via the mumsnet link.

Don't know exactly how tall ds is .
However hes wearing age 2-3 stuff (up to 104cm I think).
Why is it that other peoples branches of shops eg H&M and Asda stock just what I want and the branches by me never do?? Friends rave about H&M and Asda (and Tesco!) but whenever I go theres never anything in the size I want or they'll have just sold out of the exact thing I was looking for!! Its a conspiracy!
ebbie22 · 02/11/2004 15:15
Where abouts are you?and have you seen one you really like but cant get hold of near you?
skiingmummy · 02/11/2004 15:20
I'm on the Wirral Ebbie.
I've seen loads of snowsuits but not 1 in ds size yet - they're all baby snowsuits.
Comment re shops was more that my friends always seem to manage to find just what they want in their local branches of shops but whenever I go they never have what I want. Maternity wear is a good eg. My friend raved about Asda for maternity wear but when i went to the 2 closest branches to me they didn't stock maternity stuff!!

Have you tried the Argos Additions catalogue -they stock C and A stuff. Next did a range last year and H and M are usually good.
The specialist retailers were all at the ski show last week so may only just be getting up and running for the season, but Ellis Brigham and Snow and Rock usually have a nice range for all ages, bit pricier though.
Bagpuss30 · 02/11/2004 16:12
You could try Jojo Maman Bebe. DD had one from there last year. Polartec which is very light and warm and also water resistant.
Ages go up to 2-3 years here
There is also 10% off through Mumsnet.
