Can anyone recommend a cheap and simple PAYG mobile deal?

I need a PAYG phone for my Mum. Ideally it will have only three buttons: Daughter, Answer, Hang-Up.

If anyone can save me a very tedious research job looking for a good deal I shall be very happy.

I think it will be used about once a week to say the train is late/cancelled/hijacked/overun with wild teenagers/contaminated with flu-spewing commuters/full of passengers delighted to know about the great deals in sainsbury's this week.

Thanks.

Tesco are doing offers on mobiles ATM. If you spend £25 in the shop you can buy a phone worth £50+ for £34.97.

They have 3 prices for calls too. We've just bought DH the value sim. Calls 15p/min and texts 5p because he hardly ever uses his contract phone (and we were paying £45 pm for him to make 6 phone calls )

Thank you. I've just had a look at Tesco's website and I can't believe you can get a 'Tesco's value' phone for less than £20. Its a Nokia and actually looks fine for the purpose. Its not as if she is going to eat it is it?

Do they use their own network or buy into a better known one? Just wondering if there is a way to check coverage.

Anywhere I should look besides Tesco anybody?

Great. May change myself as I'm never too far from a rotten landline these days anyhow.
