Jungle theme nursery - any ideas?

Ladies I wasn't going to have a nursery as we are moving sometime soon but as we are still in the house and I am now past 31 weeks ...what the hell! my spare room has cream curtains with little elephants on them so I thought I'd adopt a jungle theme, I have a changing mat in yellow with giraffes on it but so far that's it I don't know the flavour of my bean so keeping it neutral. Any ideas?

We used the tree of life from jo jo maman bebe for our nursery because we knew we'd be moving within the first year. They are just stickers and they just peel off and can be reused they also do a jungle one:
jungle

we used this one

RubySlippers · 14/11/2007 11:17

we used the mothercare baby jungle which mishymoo has highlighted

we got most of it off ebay - much cheaper

we didn't know what we were having either and it is neutral enough

If you would like something a bit different, have a look hereunder decor and interiors. They have really unusual wall paper stickers in the shap of an elephant, giraffe and monkey.

Mishymoo ? both of those sets have got such fun things in them, I could get really carried away! thanks.

Elfsmummy ? those stickers are a fabulous idea

Thanks Rubyslippers ? good point

Stylishmum ? like those too.

Keep them coming ladies

Anyone know where I can get nice wicker baskets from to keep changing things neatly on shelves?

wicker baskets - poundstretcher, dunelm etc
stock loads and always cheap

We had wallpaper with yellow background and primary coloured animals by coloroll and a wide B and Q border, Jungle mobile for cot but that was 10 years ago ! Cute border here which would work with yellow, and this,or this or perhaps this! Last two would go with cream or yellow.

We have jungle theme's in both ds's rooms.
Ds2's room was very simply painted lemon, then we got the stickarounds from Vertbaudet and matching light shade. There was even enough stickarounds to use on the door and wardrobe.Looks lovely and very effective.
We went a bit mad with ds1's room and done it all out in Sunshine Safari from M&P which is now discontinued.Looks lovely too but cost a fortune at the time.

Hi MrsMc. I was thinking of a jungle room too. I like the mothercare one, but was taking a careful look at that giraffe. Is that giraffe not really scary? It's got one HUGE eye.... Spooky

MrsMcJnr · 15/11/2007 17:07

LOL it is a bit spooky!

I agree - the wall stickers are great and not too expensive! Still can't get my head around mad-eye giraffe though!

spudcounter · 20/11/2007 14:26

We've a long soft green snake hanging from our dd's ceiling...Ikea..fairly cheapish I seem to recall

MrsPuddleduck · 20/11/2007 14:33

Ikea do loads of jungle themed soft toys which you could put up on a shelf.

MrsMcJnr · 20/11/2007 16:56
