DVD recorder and video

Is there such a thing as a DVD recorder which you can use to transfer videos onto DVDs? I don't know if it would be a combi-player or whether some complicated hooking-up would be required.
Am decluttering and the first thing to go has to be the hundreds of videos which DS doesn't watch but empties onto the floor daily...

Yes we have a bril one. Funny as I am currently transfering loads at present on it! Some videos copy off but others do not. Done loads though so far. Our dvd recorder is a Panasonic model number DMR-EZ45V. No problems with it and I reckon we have had it about a year

I think it came from currys or dixons. Just looked on line and they have simular model on both sites. Not quite the same but close.
