We have the Altica xt travel system and we love it!

The aptica xt is sturdy and very well desinged. We found particularly nice the one hand fold mechanism and the carrycot. My 5 month old still sleeps in it as it is massive compared to other brands. You can also get a travel kit as an extra for the carrycot which basically allows your LO to sleep in the car whilst laying completely flat & strapped with seatbelts and extra padding. Brilliant!

Thank you it's nice to hear an actual review rather than a sales video lol
We liked the one handed fold too and the mattress in carry cot!
Have you used the extra piece(seatbelt) for carrycot? I'm debating to add it on to package x

Yes, we use the carrycot seatbelts all the time as it means uninterrupted sleep for the LO allowing longer journeys plus the safety. This extra package includes some thick padding as well that goes around the edges of the carrycot but it is short lived as it can make the carrycot a bit cramped as the little one grows. We use just the seatbelts now. I dread the time we are not going to fit in there as we are so used to itGrin

Your help has been amazing thank you so much. Do you mind me asking where you got your package from was it online? x

You are welcomeSmile we bought ours online from an Italian site. It was before Brexit happened so they were able to ship it here within a week. I am not sure if aptica xt is available in UK but perhaps you can have a look at eBay? I seem to recall there was a seller there xx

Hi

Apologies for bringing this thread back up - I've been looking everywhere for information on Inglesina car seats and this was the top result on Google. I can't find independent reviews from other mums anywhere for some reason which is quite telling.

We bought the Inglesina Copernico car seat about a year ago and initially, it seemed perfect - decent size, easy to fit, and comfy for my little one. However, in early January this year, we noticed a significant problem. Two plastic panels, which are bolted into the foam insert on the side of the seat, became loose. Upon inspection, I found the foam was torn, and the structure was compromised.

I returned the seat to Bump to Baby Prams in Deeside (shoutout to them for their support - they've been amazing!), where they documented the damage on 12th January and contacted Inglesina. Initially, Inglesina promised a prompt replacement under warranty, but what followed was a frustrating cycle of delays and excuses.

It's been over a month with no resolution. Despite assurances for a replacement by 14th February, that date came and went without any update. The shop's conversations with Inglesina's staff, including Hannah and the Director, Jonathan, have led nowhere, with no confirmed date for the replacement to arrive from Italy.

This situation has left us without a safe car seat for our child, highlighting not just a potential quality control issue with Inglesina products but also a serious lack of effective customer service. A company of this stature should have replacements readily available, especially for safety-critical items like car seats.

Careful if you're considering Inglesina when buying a car seat. Based on our experience, both the product durability and the company's customer service have been deeply disappointing. It seems these car seats, which shouldn't fall apart within a year of occasional use, may have underlying quality issues, and the company's response to such matters is inadequate.

Hi Emma!
I’ve done exactly the same as you - I’ve searched the internet for some explanation! I am hugely concerned around their batch of car seats manufactured around the time of your post. We were suppose to have ours Aptica bundle car seat last month, similar time as you and have had issues with the base not fitting the car, the car seat not attaching to the base without getting jammed. We’ve just spoken to someone in our NCT class who had the same bundle as us (she’s Italian and ordered direct) and one of the bars from underneath the car seat has come off!!!
Serious serious warning flags here and will pursue!

So Whynotletsgo, which site did you buy inglesina from please?

Thanks
