Plug-in 'glow lights' (nightlights) - do they take a bulb that you have to replace? Am I better off with the LED type?

The glow light that dd has when she stays at my parents for the night was mine when I was a kid - I am now 26. Its one of the orangey ones, they come in packs of two from Mothercare.

Old version of the ones in the link above do you think stripey? Sounds like I won't have to worry about getting bulbs then
