So has anyone bought a Nintendo Wii from amazon in Germany and how did it go?

That basically it, thinking about ordering a Wii from Germany worked out it's just under £180 with shipping and that includes the sports pack, it's about £250 for the same one on Amazon.co.uk that IF you can actually get ahold of one.

Just wanted to hear from anyone who has ordered one, how fast did it arrive, did you have any problems with plugs etc?

Yeah - i got one. No problem at all.

I ordered it on the 3rd and got it on the 9th. All present and correct. Probably more efficient than ordering from the UK eh?

I gad worried that i would get an expensive gimp mask or something since my German was a little rusty but it all worked out fine.

thanks had a look and theres even a "How to Order" in English bit that guides you through the process, haven't did German since school many years ago.

i live in germany and bought one a while ago, was shopping in town on saturday and there are loads available over here.

a tip to think about, some games are released over here earlier than uk so itcould be worth looking at those too but you do need to check the language as some are in german only

I ordered one on Saturday. Got an email later that day saying it had been posted. Very easy and felt quite smug

Just to let anyone else know who is looking for a Wii, I ordered it from Amazon Germany late Monday night and it arrived today £176.04 and that includes the sports pack. Just tried it with a Europe to UK plug adaptor and it is working fine.

Could you tell me where I find the 'how to order in english' section, I'm completely clueless

sweetkitty · 15/11/2007 15:09

I can't remember off hand but what I did was copy and paste any German into the google translate site, it's not an exact translation but you get the jist of it. Also if you have an amazon uk account it knows all your details already. I also had the corresponding amazon uk page open alongside the German one they are identical and you could work out what the German one meant.

Thanks for that but I've just found out they are no longer accepting orders from the UK, I'm too late (as usual)

sweetkitty · 15/11/2007 15:17

apparently someone else said they had said that last week as well, then someone else said they had started accepting them again (sounds very chinese whispers I know)

I would have a go at ordering they can only say no (or nein)
