Scooters - advice needed!

I have 2 little boys who will be 3 and 5 on the 17th of December and have decided scooters may be a good present for them. But I don't know which are good and also where to go to get them other than Woolies or Argos. Does anyone know of any fab ones?

Thanks in advance.

Your youngest may need the one with the 2 wheels on the back to keep him sturdy my ds has one of these he has had it for about a year, it also has flashing blue & red lights on the bit you stand on do you think your boys would like that?

The one i was talking about is here

I saw that one and thought it looked good. I guess if your son has had it for a year it is well made.

I'm also wondering if I should get a character one ie Power Rangers etc, but they don't seem to have the three wheels. I would prefer a 3 wheeled one I think, especially as you say for my 3 yr old!

my dds ages 2 & 4 absolute the "mini micro scooter" these have 2 wheels at the front and one at the back and you use balance to steer by tilting rather than turning the front wheels, they do a grown up version without the t-bar just the stick. They are pricey - about £38 from john lewis but absolutely fab and great for developing balance, they are very very light too.

Had a look and that one would be great for my 3 yr old, but I think my 5 yr old will grow out of it too quickly.

you could look at the more grown up one for the 5yr old - I think it's bigger and does have handles at the top just the stick - it looks cool .....can't remember the website I originally saw them on but google mine micro scooter and you may be able to find them. Just checked on bottom of scooter it says micro-mobility.com
