My sister lent me a sling, it has a bit that you tie round yourself so it hangs like an apron, , then you put baby in it and wrap the long bits around yourself, my sister did show me how to do it, but she isn't in, and am using it to help Callum with his reflux, but it feels wrong. And I am sure I am doing something wrong. Its black with white butterflies, if that help. TIA.

its a mei tei.
go to www.thebabywearer.com and look on the message boards for the how to tie your sling demos.
you should find lots on ways to tie the mei tei.
or go to youtube and search 'babywearing, mei tei'. lots of videos there showing you how to do it.
enjoy

Sounds like a mei tai to me, but there are lots of different types - maybe a babyhawk?

Yep, a mei tai. ds1's godmother made mr onr for ds2, but she made the straps too short so I haven't been able to use it yet. Atm I swear by the Marsupi - works on a mei tai principle but with velcro straps. (sorry, I can only find info on it in German, bt the pics give an idea)
