New printer

Can anyone recommend their printer?

Ours has died and was costing £100 to refill the ink anyway 🤯

I'd like colour not just B&W but it absolutely does not need to be fancy for printing off colouring in sheets and treasure hunts 😅

I'd recommend an HP instant ink. Pay a monthly subscription and they send you ink when you run out. I pay £1.99 a month (on top of my £30 printer) for 50 copies, these roll over to a maximum of 150 too. But there are loads of price packages you can get

We also have HP Instant Ink. Ironically, before WFH, I used to pay £1.99 a month, but now pay nothing. I only get about 15 copies a month free, but everything I do for work now is online, so I use my printer for scanning more than printing now.

When my kids were little, I printed every day - for work, kids' homework, colouring sheets etc. Now, 'it's all in the cloud'. If I was looking to replace my printer, I'd go for HP again just for the convenience of Instant Ink.

We've been looking at ink tal printers because our ink jet only works when it can be arsed to.

Which reminds me it's probably a good time to look again - when it became unusable save for with one specific laptop, everything was sold out because schools had just closed again.

I've got a Canon MG 3600 series which is great. Fast, quiet and reasonable price for ink.
Also have a HP Officejet 7610 which is enormous but super fast and great on ink. I cancelled the ink subscription as we didn't use enough and it was ordering replacements when I didn't need them.
