We've seen an indestructable digital camera advertised, possible on CITV

The kid in the advert throws it downstairs. It is advertised as being indestructable, and is shaped like the hand controls of a PS2 so that it is easy to hold. Has anyone else seen this/got one?

Ds2 would love one for Christmas, but I really don't want to sit and watch CITV all day to see the advert again!

fisher price kid tough camera i'm tempted for the dts but they're £60

flowertot · 10/11/2007 10:09

And I have heard the photo quality is rubbish.

lemonaid · 10/11/2007 10:21

I have also heard that the photo quality is rubbish (even by the standards of cameras with rubbish photo quality). You can get them in Early Learning Centre and a lot of other places.

The Vtech one is better. I bought DD1 one for christmas and tested it out.

HOw old?

I have just brought 2 Hewlett Packard E327 from Misco for £25 each. It is 5Meg and gets excellent reviews. We felt that a proper camera for £25 was much better value than a kids one that doesn't function well for £60.

Although we havn't tried it (tis in the loft ) it is a lovely little camera that I think my 6yos will cope with.

I'd get a disposy one actually. Cost about £5 and at least that way you don't shell out loads and find out they aren't interested!

hayCHingleBells · 10/11/2007 10:28

Fisher Price i think it is.

Hmm thank you. He's 4 and has a track record of destroying any camera he goes near so indestructable sounds good.

Think we might go for the January sales option - good idea Giraffeski. Thanks all

But to get 200pics on a 16mB card can't be that high.

If you hover over an icon for a pic what are the numbers next to dimentions?

E.g. 640*480

tortoise · 10/11/2007 17:25

TBH a 4yr old won't be that bothered by picture quality.
