Cool clothes for 8 yr old boy?

We have a friend who's moved to Canada. Her oldest DS is about to be 8 and I want to send him a present. The postage is so expensive that it needs to be something lightweight, and she's said he'd like "just a t shirt or something". He's a fairly typical little boy - likes really "boy" things like skulls and crossbones etc. I'd like to get him something a bit nicer and less everyday than just Hennes stuff, but where can I get something suitably cool for him?

My brother lives in Canada and when I send stuff, I tend to buy from Next or buy something with England on. (football/rugby) Canada seems to be full of the GAP chain and I don't believe there is a Next out there.

The obvious place is Gap, but in this instance that would be a bit coals-to-Newcastle! I would try Next- they had some great Beano t-shirts earlier this season (much beloved of my 9 year old ds), and I bet they'd have "boy" motifs. If he likes Beano you can get Dennis the Menace t-shirts and so on here .

for really cool clothes try Boden - they are great but more expensive that say Next or Gymboree - but they wash well and not a lot of other people have them - which is always a plus

I've heard Zara clothes are really cool and a bit different but I've not had a chance to go in and look yet.

I'd say Boden as well or Fat Face. Quiksilver have good stuff also. If you have T K Maxx near you they have alot of Quiksilver stuff in at great prices.
