.... rather than made from paper as they currently are.

How on earth are they going to decompose? Why do manufactueres insist on fannying around with a concept, like the teabag , that works perfectly well, just to get a new marketing slant?

Yes I heard about these. They're bigger so allow tea to brew without the 'fuss and bother' of a tea pot. As you point out they don't bio degrade.

Aparently the current tea in bags is ground so that it brews within about 40 seconds. These new nylon things are for the connoseur who doesn't mind waiting 52 seconds.

I'm not waiting 52 seconds for a stewed cup of poncey tea! I like mine quick hot and fresh! And bio degradable!

Mmmm-I saw this too and my first thought was "well how are they supposed to be recycled?[sad bastard emoticon]"-we have enough bins already plus regular trips to the dump without adding a nylon teabag box.....paper ones have worked for 40 odd years ok....can the tea really taste much better?

Mmmmm, sounds divine ... plastic-coated tea

Think I'll stick with the kind I can throw on the compost heap.
