Unbranded Bodysuits - Where to buy ?

I want to source some plain short sleeved baby bodysuits so that I can embellish them myself and then sell at fayres etc.

Can anyone please tell me where to look, suppliers etc.
I've looked on Ebay and Googled but not having any luck.

I'd be very grateful, thanks !

boots basic range do them - sorry can't remember what it is called.

Tesco?

geordiemacminx · 07/11/2007 21:34

asda

fishie · 07/11/2007 21:35

depends what quality you want. tesco would probably not keep shape, john lewis pretty good, american apparel really would keep it on but push your cost up.

I really wanted some without a name in such as Tesco on the label etc. Ideally I want some with just washing instructions and size etc.

Do the supermarkets have their names inside ? It's been a while since I bought any.

If I am going to sell them I don't think I should sell on suits that are actually branded ... does that make sense ?

But thank-you for the suggestions !

You could always un-pick the label - it was only when I read your post aain that I understood what you meant - I thought at first without stuff written across the front?

Tillyboo · 07/11/2007 21:56

Hi Geordiemacminx, that's a really good idea, certainly an option.

Sorry if I didn't make myself very clear, I'm so knackered my brain isn't working very well tonight.

Its ok, it was me being a bit thick. What sort of designs do you do [nosey emoticon]

Tillyboo · 07/11/2007 22:10

Um, well I haven't actually done any yet, I just fancy doing some to add to my current stock for an upcoming fayre.

You can have a look at my blog at the sort of things I currently do.
I make horses, bunnies, dogs ... all sorts of things really, I like to experiment before I settle on a range.

As for the bodysuits I'm thinking fairies, flowers, cats etc. I haven't put too much thought into it in case I can't source what I need.

Sleepsuits would be a good idea...

I like bodysuits but as they go underneath clothes then I'm not too bothered what they have on? We got some lovely ones that I wanted to show off so just put them on ds with some trousers.... unortunately he looked like simon cowell...

Sleepsuits with tractors or space ships or things like that would be lovely..

Tillyboo · 07/11/2007 22:22

Yep, another good idea. Thinking about it, I did that with my dd ... fortunately she didn't look like Simon Cowell (he! he!)

Sleepsuits with little prendy shoes on would be quite cool.

Tillyboo · 07/11/2007 22:32

How much do you think people would be prepared to pay for an appliqued sleepsuit - a good quality sleepsuit with a quality embellishment (I am very fussy and a perfectionist).

I think somewhere between £10-£15? I have quite a few plain ones from asda/tesco but having said that we paid £25 for a vest with motorhead on the front from Barcelona, and about the same for a romper suite with a guitar printed on with "I rock" written on the front? It all depends on the design/quality and where you market them I suppose? Anything to do with babies/weddings and people will spend a fortune?

Tillyboo · 07/11/2007 22:46

Wow, I'm off to the shops tomorrow to find some quality suits that I can remove the labels from !

Make sure you do boy ones - there are loads of cute girly things about - no boys
