Resisting the temptation to say "America, if you're David Miliband...." I realise this is some sort of Nintendo! And my DD is begging for one too, and they're about 100 quid new, so I'd appreciate the info as well if anyone has it...

nutcracker · 05/11/2007 14:23

I've been looking for my friend who's dd wants one, and so far haven't seen them for less than £95, or £104 with a selected game.

TrinityRhino · 05/11/2007 14:23

gameplay has them at 94.99 but I can't get the site to open

I used www.kelkoo.co.uk to search for best price

Hulababy · 05/11/2007 14:24

Kicking myself really as they were £85 in Dixons duty free at the Channel tunnel port last week.

Cheapest I have seen instore loally is £99.99, although at least they are currently in stock most places.

do you have any nectar points hula?

I got one plus a case and two games - good deal at argos. (plus a £10 voucher as you spend over 100)

Hulababy · 05/11/2007 14:57

Will have some nectar points but not many.

So if I get one from Argos and spend over £100 do I get a £10 voucher?

my dd (7 in feb) would like nintendo ds too, didnt know if this is to young?

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 05/11/2007 18:57

John Lewis website.

No pink ones in atm though.

Buy a xmas decoration or something cheap to get your order over £100. Use this code TEG876CHH198

It takes £20 off your order, and free delivery. Just ordered one for £81.50.

5 minutes after ordering dd had a strop playing a game on the cbeebies site and am now regretting ordering it.

is 5 too young?
What about 7
and what the difference between 'lite' and normal
and what game to buy?

Clementine1 · 05/11/2007 19:23

Don't see where Hula said it was for her DD.

Aero · 05/11/2007 19:23

Thanks Stripey - just what I've been looking for. A lot of the games are reduced on Amazon at the moment too.

The lite ones are smaller and have better screens apparantly. They're newer and have replaced the non-lites.

My dd is 7 just after Xmas and I think is only just old enough for it. Am seriously thinking of keeping it for myself and "allowing" her to share it. Am thinking there wil be less arguments that way.

hana · 05/11/2007 19:25

just do a google search or kelkoo search for cheapie deals

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 05/11/2007 19:26

And ENT10 gets you 10% off at Asda.

Hulababy · 05/11/2007 19:35

Yes, will be for 5yo DD. She currently has a Gameboy but you can't get games for it - and she has outgrown the couple she has. Even Game have gotten rid of the second hand ones.

I have no problem with DD having hand held games console. She manages with a GBA and still talks to us, etc. We just restrict use. It is handy for when travelling and for after meals - where she is normally the only child there and it gets boring for her when we are sat finishing the wine and coffee. Only so much drawing and reading a 5yo will do!

I already have my own - a black one - which DD does use now. But I don't want to share mine, lol!

Will do some searching from these tips, thanks.

quickdrawmcgraw · 05/11/2007 21:43

I'm not entirely sure about this but If you order one from Target in the US and got it shipped from that US shipping company it would come to about £72.
